Brit

Britney Ross

Care Co-ordinator

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Fire Safety Lead, Medication and First Aid Champion.

I have been part of Masterstaff Healthcare since I was 18 years old, starting my journey as a Care Assistant. Over the years, I have been given incredible opportunities to develop my skills and progress within the company, and I am now proud to work as a Field Care Co-ordinator.

What I value most about Masterstaff Healthcare is the support and encouragement to grow professionally while continuing to make a positive difference in people’s lives. I enjoy having a dual role that allows me to work within the office while also carrying out care calls in the community. This balance helps me stay connected to both our clients and care staff, ensuring we continue to provide high-quality, person-centred care.

One of the most rewarding parts of my role is knowing that I can make a difference to individuals’ lives every day. I love being able to put a smile on people’s faces, offer support when it’s needed most, and help them maintain their independence and wellbeing. Seeing the positive impact that even small acts of kindness can have is what makes this career so fulfilling.

Working for Masterstaff Healthcare is a truly rewarding experience, and I am proud to be part of a team that genuinely cares about both its employees and the people it supports.

Keita

Keita Ferguson

Care Co-ordinator

Well-being, Mental Capacity, Medication, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead, First Aid Champion.

Keita is the 2025 Proud Preston carer of the year.

I started my career in care at 17, having not seen the ‘care world’ before this, I had no idea what being a carer meant let alone the career pathways available in care. I was sure I wanted to take the University route but soon changed my mind once I began caring for people in their own homes. I progressed to a Senior care worker and later a Care Coordinator, helping people in a different way, whilst still providing care to those in the community. Masterstaff have afforded me the opportunity to work towards my NVQ 4 – my favourite part of my job is providing training to the care staff and working with other professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for our service users. Having worked within the social care sector over the last 9 years, we have faced many challenges and changes – one being the difficulties faced being the ever changes face of Health and Social Care under local authorities. Showing people what a career in care looks like and how fulfilling it really is to be a part of is so important, we must continue to recognise and support the vital role that carers play within our communities.
